Iridescent Coloring Technique using Copic Markers
I’m super excited about today’s tutorial! I’m using this image from YamPuff. This amazing artist has some awesome free coloring pages to download like the one I’m using today. You should check out her work, she also has fun coloring contests!
I printed out my image 4.2 inches high onto my Copic Xpress Blending Card. I wanted to do something fun with the color of her dress so I was really trying to go for the whole iridescent/metallic look. The is is ‘blue’ or ‘purple’ dress. I really love the way the colors mixed and the shimmer of the color that the blue and purple made. Check out my other types of Copic Marker Blending tutorials.
I wanted to share with you the steps of the colors I laid down, but first here’s my Copic Marker List.
- Skin – E000, E00, E11, E13
- Cheeks – R30, R32
- Hair – E41, E42, E43
- Eyes – B14, B00
- Dress – V09, V01, V12, B14, B12, B00, N3, C00
Here’s my Step by Step instructions on how I colored each of the pleats on her dress.
Don’t you love how there’s parts where the blue shows and the purple.. yet they are blended. I can’t wait to color and blend other shades together.
