Using Copics and Creating Animal Texture
I had so much fun coloring these little guys from Paper Smooches. This stamp set is called Party Posse. It was fun using Copics and creating animal texture of the animals. Creating the little scales on the purple dinosaur. All I did was create little scallops all inside and then focused on the point with He came out pretty cute. I think next time I’ll combine a few different colors in there. For the turtle.. I absolutely LOVE turtles.. they are my favorite animal ever!!!!! I colored him normally and then used the lightest color and dabbed him. When you use a lighter color on top of the darker colors it separates the colors creating this spotted texture. I think it fits perfectly to mimic the texture of a turtle’s skin. Love him!!! Using Copics and creating animal texture is such a fun way to practice with Copics. There are so many different types of animal texture. Challenge yourself!
Copics I used:
- Dino – BV04, B01, BV02, BV00, BV000, N5
- Turtle – G28, G24, G21, G20, YG00, YG13, E17, E23, E13, N5
I dug out the FlowerSoft for this card, I have so much of this stuff and always forget to use it. This shade of the green and yellow FlowerSoft is perfect for Spring. Ok, I LOVE the balloons.. well, um they are eggs! I used the Egg on the Simon Says Stamp Spring Time Critters and embossed it in white and then cut it out flipped them upside-down. BAM — instant balloon bouquet! Pretty clever, dontcha think?
