Newton Nook - Coloring Fur using Copic Markers

Coloring Fur using Copic Markers

Happy Monday Crafty peeps!

Today I have a card to share using Newton’s Nook NEW Stamp Release. These little Raccoons are so cute!!!! You can order this adorable set, Raccoon Rascals, today!

I created the texture of the fur, using my Warm Gray Copic Markers. First, I color the image and add my shadows like I would normally. Then, I add my this hair streaks blending them with each lighter color so they blend into the color I’ve l ready laid down. Once the image is completed I’ll add little flicks or even dots, if you are heavy handed, on the outer part of the animal. so the outline of the image is starts to look like the hair instead of a solid line. It really adds so much detail to the image and gives it more of a furry look, rather than just flat. You should try this technique, Coloring Fur using Copic Markers next time you color any animal.

Here’s another Fur Technique Tutorial Here!
