Creating Fall Trees using Copic Markers – Fast Action Video

Hi there friends! I had such a great response to my Fall Trees Photo Tutorial last week I decided to create a Fast Action Video. In fact I would love your opinion on these videos. I’m thinking I’ll do one a week if you all enjoy this. So, please share your thoughts below.

I’m using this adorable ‘Oh Deer Stamp set’ from Your Next Stamp. I stamped my image on Copic Xpress it Blending Card I colored my deer using a lot of flicking to create this textured fur look. If you would like to see a tutorial check out this one HERE!

Notice the grass is nothing put tiny flicks and dots on the top part of the hill and as you get closer to the deer the grass blades get larger. This is something that is very important when you are coloring a scene with depth perception. In order to get the background to appear farther away you have to make the objects in the background smaller and not as detailed.

Copic Markers Used in the scene:

  • Deer and Tree – E30, E31, E33, E37, N9
  • Grass – YG91, G82, G85, N9
  • Fence – E37, N9
  • Trees – R35, R32, YR14, YR12, YR07, G85, G82, Y13
  • Sky – YR12, YR00, Y000, YR0000, BG10, B00
