Simon Says Stamp – Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  ‘Create your Own Background’ Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week, too.

This week the challenge is Distress it!
We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used. I recently got some of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks and boy are they so much fun to play with!

Card-Making Steps

  1. I used  Distress Oxide inks, Green Bough and Wild honey to create this awesome sponged background.
  2. Then I splattered some water — just by using my finger tips.
  3. Then I took my Simon Says Stamp Modern Rose Background Cling Stamp and inked it up with my White Ink pad.
  4. After I stamped it onto my card based I embossed the image using my pearl white embossing powder.
  5. Add your sentiment and or dies and voila!

I just LOVE the way it turned out!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

This is a beauty! I was wondering what that embossing color was. What a great idea to stamp it in white ink first. It gives it such a cool look, I love it. I’ve never seen anything quite like that.
