Spellbinders July Stamp of the Month
Hi there my crafty friends. Today I’m sharing a few cards using the newest Stamp of the Month from Spellbinders. I normally don’t make cards where there’s no coloring so I pulled out my Distress Oxide inks to add some color to my cards. Don’t you love the pops of color of the fish.
I just recently bought the Picket Fence Studio Life-Changing Brushes — I LOVE them. I always have a heavy hand when I do my distressing and it always left a harsh line or circle from my daubers. When I’m using these Life-Changing brushes I don’t have that problem.
On the rainbow fishes card I first sponged my Tumbled Glass in the center of the card base and then I stamped my fish in my distress oxide inks. Here’s the order of the colors, Picked Raspberry, Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac. I used my stitched rectangle die to get that pierced border.
For the turtle card I sponged the Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass, then I stamped the turtles in the Chipped Sapphire. I stamped and embossed my sentiment in White ink and embossing powder. For some extra details I took my white gel pen and added some little bubbles. I wanted to keep the stitched look so I turned my stitched rectangle die just to add the stitching on the bottom of the sponged area.
I wanted a bright rainbow background so I used Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac to create my background then I stamped the fish and sentiment in my Memento Black ink. Again, I used my stitched rectangle and white gel pen for the stitching and made some bubbles, too.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Don’t forget the Spellbinders Stamp of the Month is only available for a limited time. Order yours today!
