Stitching on cards using Waffle Flower Stitchable Dies

Stitching on cards using Waffle Flower Dies

Today I’m sharing a fun technique Stitching on cards using Waffle Flower Stitchable Dies. This one I’m using is called Pinking Circles. There are lots of different shapes to choose from, too. Instead of using a solid stamp to create my pumpkin I decided to draw one with my Copic Markers. I think having the entire pumpkin colored in really helps with the stitching. So, when you’re drawing or stamping your image you want to pay attention to the holes so your image doesn’t get cut off — you want to make sure you can get a full cross stitch or a half.

You could even use a blue thread for the ‘sky’ and put green along the bottom of the pumpkin– if you wanted to fill in all the stitching spaces.

I’ve also used my Lawn Fawn Reversed Stitched Scallop Circle Dies and the sentiment is from a retired My Favorite Things Stamp Set.

Here are some simple illustrations that you can re-create and try some of your own Card Stitching. Whatever thread you’re using I’d try to use a little bit lighter of a color when creating your illustration.

I’m using the following Copic Markers for my pumpkin.

Pumpkin – Y35

Stem – E37

Background – B12, E30

    These are really cute!

Also thank you for the tutorial on how to create a Halloween background. I found it last night and used it. It was my first time trying to create my own background and it was very helpful.
